Welcome. I'm excited to have you on this practical course. My name is Sarah. I'm a psychological therapist, student counselor, and senior trainer. In my work, I have worked with children experiencing mental health issues in schools, community and in my private practice. I have supported teachers frontline staff.

I've also worked with community workers, children, support workers, and supported parents who are also supporting their children as well as work with them too. In this course, will equip you with the knowledge and skills that you need to recognize signs and symptoms of mid health problems among children. support them while awaiting for treatment and when they're still receiving treatment, make referrals and signpost them to children mental health services. The course is designed To help you to gain confidence and competence to support a child in a school setting, in the community and family setting, you will be presented with self assessment activities that are aimed at enhancing your learning and also helping you to put theory into practice. By the end of the course, you'll be able to put your new acquired skills into practice. straightaway I look forward to sharing my knowledge with you.
