Hey there, welcome to the last lecture of the VCO module. In this lecture, you're gonna discover what the clarity tool can do for your photos. This is the image we're going to work on. brightness, contrast and color are again, the main focus points in the editing process. But the clarity tool is what's gonna make the real difference in this picture. This is the end results.
And these are the steps I took to get there. This is an image that will look quite good in black and white, but I really like only earthy colors so I'm going to leave it as it is, and work on it to emphasize those irsie colors. There's no need to adjust the crop here. What I am going to do is darken the image just a tiny bit. Then we're going to white balance to make it a little more yellow to bring out With earthy colors, then we're going to tone again. What we're going to do here is darken the highlights quite a bit, so the wide wall will get some texture.
And we're also going to brighten up the shadows because the dog and the shadow are very black. Now we have a flat enough image to increase the contrast again. You're becoming familiar with this a little trick. Then saturation to make the earthy colors even more vibrant. And next up is clarity. And that's where the magic happens in this picture.
Take a look. I love how the texture of the sound is showing up. You see the difference? Whoa, Then we're going to sharpen and I'm going back to white balance to make it a little less yellow because I think it's too much. There are two ways to adjust an adjustment. You can go back to the tool itself and you can do it here it's the same.
The only difference is that in here you can easily delete an adjustment. I'm going back to exposure to darken some more. I'm happy with it as it is. So I'm going to save it and export to camera roll. That was it for the views your module. I hope you have have all the tools to discover more of vseo and how you can use it to bring out the best in your own pictures.
Happy editing.
