As a humanitarian photographer, my one goal is to create powerful images of people rising above their circumstances, and to tell their stories of courage, resilience, joy and hope. I am forever in awe of the power of a compelling photograph. And the one thing that makes me the happiest is when I can give back to the world through my photography. Photography can change worlds, which is why I want nothing more than to train as many aspiring photographers as possible. I want you to be able to capture your world and share your stories with a unique and authentic vision. Yes, you have one, you just need to discover it.

Because I believe that it's not the camera that creates beautiful picture. It's the person behind the camera. It's about your skills, your vision, and your unique experiences as a human being. All in all, how to create compelling and expressive pictures consistently. There are a few things I want you to keep in mind. smartphone camera has some limitations you'll just have to accept some things can't be done with a smartphone camera. Any form of photography, including smartphone photography is a merger between technique and vision, craft and creativity. I see it as a dance between control and letting go. It's important to develop both sides without craft you get a blurry picture.

And without creativity you get a boring picture. If you want to see results. You have to put in the work, photography's learned by doing. That's why I've included photo assignments. Some assignments are aimed at developing your creative side, and some are exercises to practice your craft. But regardless of the aim of the assignment, I want you to use everything you learned in realizing them when it's a creative assignment incorporates the technical lessons you've learned, and become creative when you're practicing your craft.

So you'll learn to merge craft and creativity right from the beginning of your smartphone photography journey. Are you ready to start, hop on over to your first module and I will see you in there. Happy photographing
