Hello again, it's Karen from the stock view playground. To get an image exposed we have a number of options to choose from different routes that lead to the exposure of an image. They're called exposure modes and they range from having very little control to total control. We distinguish automatic mode semi automatic mode and manual mode. In auto mode, the camera establishes the ISO value and the shutter speed we have no control over these values. In semi auto mode, you can choose one value and the camera will pick the second value.
This gives you quite some control already. You can choose to shoot in ISO priority mode where you choose the ISO and the camera chooses the shutter speed or you can shoot in shutter speed priority mode where you choose to shutter speed and the camera chooses the ISO. in manual mode you have total control by choosing the shutter speed and the ISO value yourself. See you in the next lecture. In the meantime, happy photographing
