Some students like to make practice cards. We are providing the first 500 words in a list and a link to the web where you can print out index cards to practice with. If you don’t recognize the word, we want to challenge you to go to Google translate and translate it. The simple act of typing the word in Google, reading the translation, and writing it down is a great practice to remember any new word.
Just like English has high-frequency words that are found in 65% of documents, websites, etcetera, Spanish has 200 most commonly used words found in texts. Memorize 10 words a day until you have mastered them all.
Being bilingual is not easy but it is possible.
