One of the most annoying situations you can experience in football is when players in the wall turn their shoulder or back to the shot. In such situations, you often get what you deserve. You lose a point or two because the opponent scores a goal after the ball has gone through the wall.   
Imagine the worst-case scenario. You and your team have invested endless hours in your training, but you lose out on winning the league or even find yourselves relegated purely because one of your defensive players was afraid of being hit by the ball.
What a major disappointment.
However, it wouldn’t be the first time it has happened and certainly won’t be the last.
