How to Tackle Right Facing Attackers as They Run in the Backspace

Situation 
The goalkeeper has the ball in his hands or on the ground and is ready to start the game with a long kick. The attacker is on the offside line, or some meters behind it, and is getting ready to run into the free space. Just before the goalkeeper kicks the ball, he or she starts to run into space behind the four-back line.
Challenges
The attacker runs: 

Directly into space or 
Takes a bow-run to avoid being offside just before the ball is played

He or she gets to the ball first, receives the ball, and is now a significant threat. The defending team has lost control and runs back into their half to try and reorganise themselves before a goal is scored.
