The fourth phase of the job interview is when you present your solution and convince the interviewer why you are the best candidate for the position. During this phase, salespeople present their product or service to the customer. In the job interview, you are presenting yourself, and trying to sell the prospective customer, the interviewer, why you should be hired. When you look at a typical sales call, professional salespeople will first make an introduction (Phase I). Next, they build rapport and generate interest (Phase II). The third step is to uncover the customer needs (Phase III). The fourth step (Phase IV) is to present their solution, and the fifth step is to ask for the order (Phase V). When considering the job interview, it is Phase IV where you really begin to solidly tie together the entire interview to make your final arguments for the job.
