DESCRIPTION:
“Some things are within our power, while others are not. Within our power are opinion, motivation, desire, aversion, and, in a word, whatever is of our own doing; not within our power are our body, our property, reputation, office, and, in a word, whatever is not of our own doing” - Epictetus, Enchiridion
One of the primary tenets of Stoicism is The Dichotomy of Control
You are all that you have control over, not other people, not circumstances, not weather, not traffic. All you really have control over is how you Act and React.
The Origins of Emotion
Every action and reaction comes from one of two places: love or fear.

When we operate from the basis of fear, we are reacting, and getting farther away from our intended mission and values.
When we can step into acting and reacting mindfully, from the basis of love, we move towards our mission and values.

Remember you are all you have control over, so we want to focus our energy on what is in our control.
The Good vs. Bad...
