DESCRIPTION: Because you want to start or develop a writing journey, I&rsquo;m going to take a wild guess that you have a story to tell. Or maybe you have more than one. Could be a combination of fiction and non-fiction, a memoir, your thoughts on the political climate, or bits and pieces of ideas that won&rsquo;t leave you alone. Whatever has sparked this journey, it&rsquo;s helpful to understand why you might be focusing on a particular story. Or if you&rsquo;re stuck because you have multiple projects begging for your attention--how to pick just one.
Aside: I know that there are plenty of writers who can multi-task and work on more than one idea at a time. But for the purposes of keeping things clear and free of overwhelm, I&rsquo;m going to suggest you pick one to focus on and sketch out the other ideas in your journal so you don&rsquo;t forget them.
