DESCRIPTION: MINDFULNESS EXERCISE

Spend five or ten minutes BEFORE you work on your project, and journal through your fears, worries, anxieties, and concerns. Get that crap out of your system. Recognize that you have to work hard to accomplish what you&rsquo;ve set out to do. State that you&rsquo;re ready and able and willing to accept that challenge. Then go write. Give yourself a doable goal&mdash;writing a certain number of words and allow yourself to feel GOOD about achieving that goal.
It&rsquo;s really important to offset the negative with the positive. Acknowledge the downside, but prop it up with the good stuff in writing, whatever that might be for you. Recognize it&rsquo;s tough to work, but state that you are up for the challenge&mdash;basically you&rsquo;re telling the writing universe to bring it on.
