First off, you open the file you want to trace in Illustrator. So that's open with Adobe Illustrator. I actually just took a picture of my sketch and sent it to make either through email. Now the image is a little too big, so let's resize that. Make sure to press Shift so that it scales proportionally. Now we want to make this sketch as our template.

So let's double click that layer and make it a template. If you choose to dim the images, the sketch will become lighter. So I chose to not dim the images I mean anymore asked my pencil sketches already very late. Let's name that as templates so you can easily refer back to it in the Layers panel. As we have finished setting up the page, Let's now move on to tracing our super cute characters.
