DESCRIPTION: Once you have mastered Easy Breath you can move onto our 3 part Breathing exercise. Here you will learn how to move and breathe into the fullness of your being. Making use of your full lung capacity.
Once you have mastered easy breath you will have no problem with the 1st part of this exercise, chest breathing as it is pretty much the same. The only difference is that you really only concentrate on breathing into and out of your chest.
Part 2 of this breath work is to breath into your ribcage only.
Here you can place your hands on the sides of your body / on your ribcage, as you breathe in deeply you feel your ribs expand out to the sides and as you exhale you feel your ribcage contracting again.
Try this a couple of times before you add a count to the breath.
Once you have gotten the hang of this add a count of 4 /5 to your inhalation as well as exhalation and increasingly this count as you feel fit to do so.
Remember to not over do it as being out of breath is not the aim here,...
