We developed the B.A.S.I.C.S. scheduling approach while teaching project scheduling courses at UCLA. We wanted to find a practical, memorable way to simplify the schedule building process. We think we've done that our goal is to eliminate the clutter that makes its way into software courses by focusing more on what you can do with scheduling software and lesson out of context features that you will rarely use.
The B.A.S.I.C.S. scheduling approach is based on project management scheduling fundamentals. That's why it works with all true scheduling solutions. We chose Microsoft project because it has a simple interface and is the most popular CPM based scheduling solution.
