Welcome back to the cause. This session, we are going to talk about how can we use the speak function. Split function literally means splitting up the words. So in Python, we can always pick up a long string and put them into a list. to demo j, let's declare a launching of 123 and have them separated by comma. And then we call the split function.

And say comma is the delimiter. Now you see, the string 123 has become a list. Now we are going to use this split function to split up the input lottery numbers that the user has input. For a sample we can do enter numbers equals to input enter six numbers. And then we'll wait for user to input the six number. Now when user input it has to be separated by comma.

After that, we can check. Now the Enter numbers variable contains a long string of six numbers and separated by comma. And then we will do enter numbers list equals to enter numbers, dot split and then set the delimiter to be a comma. Now when we pay now enter numbers list, we can see it becomes a list with six numbers. Now we have convert a string to a list. Next, if we are going to get to intersection with the winning number set We need to convert this list to the set.

To do this, we create a new wearable ticket numbers equals to set. And then for an in enter numbers list we put the elements in the list to the set, we use the add function, ticket numbers dot add n be reminded that because the number in the list is actually a string, so we have to use the integer function to convert that from a string to an integer. All right, let's recap what we have done. For each element in the Enter number list. We put it to N for the first iteration and will be one and then it will be converted to an integer and then being added to the Ticket numbers set and then in the second iteration and will be assigned to free and free we recovered as an integer and then being added to the ticket number set, and so on. If we track the result, ticket numbers, we can see a set of six numbers surrounded by coded banquette.

This set is converted by the list that we have before. So what we have done again, is to put every element from the list to the set. Now we actually have a better way to do the same thing. We can do ticket numbers, dot clear. To clear the set first. Make sure we have a really key of everything.

Okay, now we have an empty set. Then we can do ticket numbers. equals two, curly bracket four. And in entered numbers next. So let's take a look at what we have done here. For every number in the Enter numbers list, we assigned that to the variable n. But then we have to convert that to an integer with the INT function.

So for the first iteration, to enter a number, this will assign the number one in string format to n. And then this in function will convert that to an integer one second iteration and equals to three, and then we will be converted to an integer of three, and so on. And this is the shorthand of the for loop and we can expect to be stout will be exactly the same as before, which is six numbers 138 12 1517. So we have learned how we can convert the numbers from users to asset. In the next session, we are going to talk about a very important concept that is the global and local variables.
