Birthing Better families cannot hammer this into your head enough. You got pregnant to have a baby not a type of birth. You got pregnant whether you wanted this baby or not and you and you alone have to go through the activity of birthing this baby no matter where birth unfolds, who is present, your personal circumstances or beliefs, or what is happening to or around you.
You are pregnant until your baby is born.
Without skills, you'll remember what happened to you. With skills, you'll remember how you chose to work through this activity no matter what happened to you.
As a father-to-be or others who will be in this baby's life. If you're going to be in the birth, have skills for your task as a birth-coach.
Without skills, you might 'be there' but know you've actually been useless and birth might frighten you and leave you traumatized. With skills, and particularly Birthing Better skills for ALL births, you'll bring your capabilities as a human being to the task at hand.
