Okay, now you've recorded your video, you edited it off the front and the back gucky parts, and you are ready to start using it on LinkedIn. So your first step is to upload it to LinkedIn. And you want to directly upload it to LinkedIn. Any web site, you know, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, they all want to keep you captive on their sites. So rather than putting it on YouTube, which you still may want to do, but you don't want to put the links to somebody else's site into this and there are few reasons for that. One, we want this to keep playing in the messenger when we start sending it out to people.
And you know, LinkedIn loves LinkedIn, Facebook, loves Facebook, Twitter loves Twitter, so you want to keep people in on that site. So let's show you how to upload a video directly. into LinkedIn. Here's the key, it needs to be less than 10 minutes right now to upload to LinkedIn. So of course, we've done that, because I've told you to keep your introduction less than two, we want to keep people's attention. So let's go on over to how to upload it to LinkedIn.
Alright, so on my LinkedIn site, and you can see one of the choices here is video. And so I choose the video, I go to videos, and I know that I called it thank you for being a LinkedIn connection. So I can easily find it, I know where I saved it. This can save you a lot of times if you know that you're going to save it to a certain place and you call it a certain thing. It helps you to use the Search button to find it again. So you do open and it starts uploading it.
So I have it there and I can start Typing, you know, here, you know, thank you so much. Thank you for being one of my connections, whatever I'm going to say, again, two or three lines, and then post it. And this is going to post to your regular LinkedIn connections. So you're gonna want to make sure that the post settings right now are public, because we want to be able to share it again and again, and hit post. Now, I'm not going to hit post because I've already posted this and I don't want to post it again. So when you hit posts, it's going to become one of your LinkedIn activities, one of your posts.
And so you're going to start seeing people who like it and who want to comment on it and you've done an introduction. It's kind of a reintroduction to the people you already know. Chances are if you're like me, you've connected with people. on LinkedIn, that are only acquaintances, or that have met you through LinkedIn, or that you have that were found in a search. And so they want to connect with you, but you don't know anything about them. And so posting it in your thread where it appears to other people's thread is also a good thing to use as a reconnection to those people that you're already connected with on LinkedIn.
So in the next video, in that last video, you'll only have one more watch and then you're going to be ready to do this yourself. It'll be time to share that video with other people within the LinkedIn messenger system so that your new connections can watch the video and they don't have to look through that newsfeed to go find it again. So come on back and watch that last video.
