Okay, so the other thing I want to kind of address is your subscribers. And really at the bottom line subscribers are just a number so that you're able to kind of contact these people, YouTube more and more is making it basically like an email opt in where you say, Sure I want to subscribe. But then I have to what we call inside of the email industry whitelisting which is basically to turn on notifications. And that's really all you're trying to get. You're trying to get someone to stub and then basically whitelist you so that you're always getting up to the date details. Whenever you release a video or a new idea.
You reply back to someone's comments. So that's the ultimate end goal. Now, does subscribers have an outcome overall on the actual you know, rankings of a Channel. Most of the time, I'm going to say it's almost eight. No. The reason that that really is is because your subscribers are just really like your own internal promotion.
But in terms of YouTube, see, when I tell you later on if you want to, you know, promote your own materials, your own videos, when you self host you have to self promote, which means, you know, you should get out there and contact as many people as you can to come view your videos. And then once you do that, there's obviously rankings in or increases in your rankings. So I would say more or less because you have subscribers, that's going to boost you up the exact kind of same rate, in terms of your view counts, the more views that you have, the more that Google and thus YouTube is going to say, Ah, this is light. This is well favorited it's going viral. We want to rank this high because this is ultimately going to deliver more value than the other videos that have been getting less views.
So that's basically all it is subscribers at the end of the day, you know, I'm going to count it not as a big fat zero, but it's almost no in terms of going get subscribers, because those subscribers are so valuable because now every future video that you produce, you're recontacting those people over and over again for each new video. And, you know, sometimes you're going to see channels that have, you know, a couple thousand subscribers, but millions of views, that's just because they're in those types of niches or industries. Whereas most the time you're going to see, you know, if someone has a million subscribers, their average video is probably going to get about a million to 1.5 million views. It's not to say that they can't have way more than that as well. But most of the time, these subscribers are just basically going to count as like a view towards every future video.
So it's not that they're ranking you off the subscribers, but they're ranking you off the views, all right. So subscribers are great, but they're not the end all be all to actually rank you at the top. They're just allowing you to reach Market Yourself.
