Step four, use logic common sense feelings and emotions. using logic and common sense, combine your logic and common sense with the facts and data, assumptions, knowledge and experience. Ask yourself questions like, does this decision Make sense? If so, why? If not, why not address any risk? Ask questions like, Are there risk involved?

If so, what are they? What can be done to minimize or eliminate these risk? incorporate your feelings and emotions. Many people use their feelings and emotions to do most if not all of their decision making. They ask themselves questions like do I like the color, the shape, the texture and or feel of this product. Utilizing feelings without backing them up with facts, data and logic can lead to flawed decision making.

Feelings are a critical part of any decision. However, they need to be backed up by knowledge logic and common sense. The left brain right brain crossover. The left hemisphere of the brain is used for logical, analytical, rational and objective reasoning. The right hemisphere is used for intuitive, subjective and holistic thinking. Using only one side of the brain is denying oneself the full power of the decision making process.

Most people are fully capable of using both parts of their brain to make sound rational and logical decisions that they feel good about. The left brain right brain crossover is worth developing the left brain, people who only use facts, data and logic, without feelings to make decisions are missing the richness of using their emotions. Many of these individuals deny their feelings because they believe facts data and logic always produce better decisions than feelings and emotions. Also, a big factor is that a lot of these individuals are introverted in facts and data become a bit of a crutch that they Use to stay away from their emotions. Feelings are an integral part of the human condition. Accepting and embracing them during decision making ensures that you feel good about your decision now and later.

In the TV series and movies called Star Trek, the character Mr. Spock is a Vulcan, who lives by logic. He constantly deals with cold hard facts and data, and life and death situations. He has enormous concentration and focus. The shows do an exceptional job of addressing the feeling side of Mr. Spock at the right moments. This human side of Spock is spiced into the storyline in a way that is understandable and real. As an engineer, I have worked with an incredible number of left brain thinkers, a high percentage have a strong right brain crossover.

Many deny this, but observing the way they deal with friends, family and their passions tells a different story. They do care. They have some of the most fascinating hobbies and interest of anyone I know. They enjoy Tango, dancing, photography, plays and other interests that require strong right brain usage. The logical types are that way because many problems and decisions take an incredible amount of research and creating cold hard facts and data. Not only that, it takes an enormous amount of focus to do the heavy lifting of mental work.

This is because of the intense concentration that is needed so rockets don't explode. Planes don't fall over the sky. Bridges don't collapse and more. They are passionate people. It is just not obvious to many. The right brain.

On the flip side, those who only feel their decisions miss the importance of backing up those feelings with facts, data and logic, facts, data and logic frequently save a great deal of money, time and heartache. It can be scary to learn the facts, data and logic. If you're used to basing your decisions on feelings. However, moving out of your comfort zone and using the left side of your brain ensures balanced and sound decisions. If you're a strong right brain thinker and have a difficult time tapping into your left brain, consider striking up business relationships and friendships with strong left brain people who are sensitive. This can be incredibly beneficial for both of you.

And of course, it is logical. left brain individuals are great sounding boards for ideas and concepts. Engineer types are the ones who turn dreams into reality. Think Disneyland, space travel, solar power and more. Also, you can learn how their brains work and strengthen your own left brain crossover. By using these simple techniques, you can make decisions that will be grounded in logic and common sense and will be something that you can feel great about long and after the decision was made.

Left brain right brain crossover examples There are many amazing people who have accomplished much with the strong left brain right brain crossover. For example, Elon being was a Navy test pilot, the Lunar Module Pilot on Apollo 12, and the fourth man to walk on the moon. These jobs require strong left brain thinking, using logical, analytical, rational and objective reasoning. After resigning from NASA lm being became a full time artist. He paints Apollo's human adventure that is both a visionary and historic art requires strong right brain thinking using intuitive, subjective and holistic thinking. Florence Nightingale is another example of a person with an excellent left brain right brain crossover.

Florence Nightingale is an extremely famous nurse who was known for her work in nursing in the Crimean War, but it really wasn't that work that made her famous. Her work as a statistician to show the importance of sanitary conditions in healing the sick and wounded you Your left brain powers and it has saved countless lives.
