As you know, in the previous lesson, we learned how to show agreement. But in this lesson, I want to teach you 10 phrases for disagreeing. So what do you say when you want to show disagreement and you want to disagree with people? Okay, guys, let's start 10 great ways. The first one is I don't think so. This is a very common way to disagree with somebody.

I don't think so. Number two is I beg to differ. I beg to differ is politely and firmly disagree. So if you want to disagree, politely, and formally, you can say I beg to differ. For example, that's Your opinion, I beg to differ. So I'm trying to disagree in a very polite way.

Number three is I'm afraid I don't agree. This is a very formal way to disagree with a person. It's a way of slightly softening the statement and polite way to disagree with someone. I'm afraid. I don't agree. The next one is I'm not so sure about that.

Which is very clear. When you are not sure about something and you disagree with somebody. Actually, this is an indirect way to disagree with person. I'm not sure I'm not so sure about that. I'm not so sure about that. Number five days, that's not how I see it.

That's not how I see it to use to say that you have different way of thinking and that you disagree. with someone, that's not how I see it, a very good way to disagree with people when you think that your viewpoint is different. Number six is not necessarily not necessarily used for saying that you think something that someone said, is not always true. It's cheaper. For example, it's cheaper to live in an apartment than a house. And the other person says, not necessarily.

Not necessarily. Number seven is yes, but this is actually a way to disagree with somebody in a very soft and indirect way. Okay. For example, my friend says, it's a good idea to go to cinema. And I tell him, yes, but going to the cinema everyday is boring. It's better to go, for example, to a gym or a swimming pool.

Number eight, on the contrary, on the contrary, you can use actually, on the contrary, when you are disagreeing strongly with something that has just been said or implied, or are making a strong negative reply, so we use FSS here. For example, people just don't do things like that, on the contrary, and the other person says, On the contrary, they do them all the time. They do them all the time. And number nine is No way. No way. For example, my friend says she believes that she can learn English perfectly in three weeks, and I say No way.

So I'm trying to disagree varies in formals. And the last one, which is very strong is I totally disagree. I totally disagree. So we learn 10 great ways to disagree with people. Some of them are formal and some of them are informal. Some of these disagreement are actually used in a strong way.

Let's repeat them very fast. I don't think so. I beg to differ. I'm afraid I don't agree. I'm not so sure about that. That's not how I see it.

Not necessarily. Yes, but you should see your opinion here. On the contrary, no way and I totally disagree. Let's use these phrases in some examples. There's a versus a bit here between the employee and the employee to employees. Actually.

We must answer the customers on time. Please don't answer late. And the other employee says, I'm afraid I don't agree, which is a very polite way to disagree with people. We must sometimes take a rest. Father, Sarah, you should study harder. You must spend more time for reading your books.

Don't waste your time. That's how it says. The daughter says Actually, no way. That's not how I see it. So she's trying to say that she has a different way of thinking. I'm really tired of reading these books.

Here there is a conversation between wife and husband the wife says, Ted, I believe it's a good idea to leave your job and find another one. This job is boring and husband says I don't think so. I cannot find another job. I have no skills. employee and bas employee says I think this project will help the company to grow and get more customers and the buses. I totally disagree.

So, the boss is trying to disagree completely. I totally disagree, john, this is not an ideal project. We must change it.
