There are two main types of email you can send and receive: plain text emails(these are exactly what they sound like -- any email that contains just plain old text with no formatting) and HTML emails, which are formatted and styled using HTML and inline CSS. Plain text emails are easy to spot -- they are just simple text, no styling, all the same size.

Hello in this video I am going to show you how to send a plain text email so I'm using a different ID I'm using a code anywhere which is allows me to connect to live websites. The reason I'm connected to a live website is because it's sending email can be a bit awkward if you just want to look website if you're on a live website, the you know the SMTP all of know all of the credentials and all of that just works fine. So it's all good. If you locally you have to you know, do it and set up where you're connecting to, let's say a email client such as Gmail, for example. There's videos online covering that you really do want to do a no click but if you are doing email stuff, the Unreal purpose that you would be doing it is to eventually push it to a live server and I recommend getting hold of a live server even if it's just something cheap for testing some cheap domain literalism so like now testing domain as soon as possible in development.

Okay, so does that mounts really simple. I'm just going to send the email on, you know, page load, but you could send it when you press a button, for example, and I recommend that you have a go like doing that after we've done this, first of all, need to specify who you send it to. So, I'm gonna send it to my company's email address, show I've got open right here for a song of this record, okay? And then I'm gonna say, subject equals So, subject for the subject line, then we need a body is the main, you know, webs I mean, the main email, so main body, email, and neck, we need some headers. The only header we're going to put in the front, and I'm going to put contact, that's soul knocking case of sonar integrated is the domain that is And putting this on the printing on the index file.

So it's okay if you just put, you know, the actual know what's the core D, the actual email address you actually say, Okay, I'm default is on sa nine duck or a case of that is a Okay, you can put other headers as well. So to do another heading do something like a backslash, backslash n, and then you could just put a novel one. And use could be like CC, for example. Then you could put the CC micro Pola BCC email inbox, that's the general format, but I only want the headers now to send it in the mail. And in here, if that's the 41st, two, then the subject then the body and the phone the head now If I reload it there we go update epi subject main body of the email. And as you can see, it has sent it and we can, you know, reply accordingly.

So make sure it's not in the contact class fine. And I'm going to delete that. And then that will get sent to contact a solo in duplicate, if that email actually exists. If it doesn't do this, you know, Bongo and he will stay in the ether, and Gmail will give you an error. And yeah, apart from that, all you need to know terms of sending a plain text email. This is literally all there is.

As you can see, the email doesn't look very good. So in the next video, I'm gonna show you how to send a HTML email for more advanced customization. So that is it. Any questions, feel free to pop me a message and as usual, I look forward to seeing you in the next video.
