DESCRIPTION:
What Are Lash Extensions Made Of
Most lash extensions are made from a synthetic Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT) Fibre and are sometimes referred to as Faux Mink or Silk Lashes.
Polybutylene terephthalate is a synthetic engineered thermoplastic. It is part of the polyester group of resins and shares similar characteristics to other thermoplastic polyesters. Additionally, it is a high-performance material with high molecular weight and is a strong, “engineerable” plastic.
Although PBT is known to offer high-quality synthetic lashes other extensions can be made from real mink, human, or horse hairs.
Lash extensions are meant to be a semi-permanent enhancement of the natural lash by means of adhering a synthetic lash extension to a single natural lash. They are not to be confused with False Lashes or any retail beauty products.
Lash Extensions should only be applied by a professionally trained Lash Technician using medical-grade adhesives that are available only to industry...
