Now in addition to healing your body, like we talked about in the book, I want to walk you through some steps to change belief systems that you might be living with, that are confusing you or interfering with your ability to move forward in life and lead a fulfilling life. belief systems are swallowed beliefs that you get when you grew up, either from your parents or from society or from school. Either you're not good enough or you don't have permission to love yourself. Or, yeah, you can't be happy unless you have a million dollars. So let's go through this exercise I've created it's called giving yourself permission to heal. And how we're going to do it is I'm going to get you to say it's safe to feel certain ways.

I'll walk you through the details. And while we're doing that, I'm going to get you to hold certain acupuncture points are here in the back of your head. Okay, this is connecting the right and left hemisphere of your brain and creating a circuit. When you create a circuit, this processing that happens between your frontal cortex and your limbic brain. That means any emotionally stored memory that's negative, that's not healthy for you, begins to get dissolved through processing. Great, here we go.

So think of the negative feelings you're struggling with. I'm not good enough, that's, I'll never be happy. I'm ugly. I'm not sexy enough. I need to eat more wine to eat less. Just stay with that.

Connect to the sensations, to the awkwardness to the pain. Whatever it is that you may be struggling with. Now say in your mind, whisper to yourself or say it out loud. It's safe for me to feel this way once in a while. Stay with that feeling the process let it happen. Breathe in.

And again, it's safe for me to feel this way once in a while. Good just let yourself ping pong between negative and positive experiences. Things will automatically be the interchange the next sentence without feeling rushed. It's safe for me to think this way. Sometimes Sometimes guide you through resistance and allowing change to happen. Sometimes it's safe for me to think these things.

And in this way sometimes see the word sometimes actually gives you permission to allow your mind to explore both positive outcomes of this exercise and also gives permission or an agreeable feeling to what you've been doing prior to this exercise. Yeah, the negative thoughts. So rather than criticize the negative thoughts, give permission to accept that they exist or they exist. For this transition so thank you for following this exercise. Continue doing this with different sentences you know, it's safe for me to be awkward once in a while. It's safe for me to be forgiving once in a while, or sometimes it's safe for me to find strength once in a while, or to be strong sometimes in front of the people that I love and care.
