Today's daily meditation is about forgiveness. Forgiveness is a very important part of our lives. Because anything, Unforgiven sits within us and affects our decisions, affects our intention actually interferes with positive intentions we may have for ourselves or for others. So if you have resentfulness, or bitterness or pain, then a part of your mind is clouded. It's unavailable to think clearly about positive things that you can use to create greater things in your life. So you can see forgiveness is not only for the sake of the other person or for your health or something.

Forgiveness is also very, very crucial for you to create a positive, positive life. So I'm going to read to you Way to forgive, it's not good enough to just say, I forgive you to someone, because inside there could be still resentment lingering. Or when you say I forgive you to someone, it almost still keeps them wrong, telling them you're still wrong, but I forgive you. Okay, so there's a better way of saying, I forgive you. I'm going to read you something about forgiveness. So forgiveness can be difficult, a difficult thing at times.

Most of us even then when we try and forgive, are still left with a feeling of hurt or disappointment. This is normal. Even though you know, it might be a good idea for you to forgive someone or something. Your mind might not be ready to let go or to forget. In fact, sometimes saying I forgive you to someone still leaves you with a feeling that something wrong happened between you and that person, and that person might still be guilty. Through my training in family constellation therapy, I found a new humble and more complete way of saying I forgive you.

It's by saying these sentences I'm sorry, this happened for me with you. Or, I'm sorry this happened for us. Or, I'm sorry this happened for me with us. So try and say that on your timeline healing journey, look at any events that traumatize you significantly with someone or think about someone who hurt you in the past and you thought you forgive them, close your eyes and say to them, I'm sorry this happened between us and really allow yourself to be vulnerable. give permission to yourself to really feel all parts of your vulnerability and experience fully the difference between saying I forgive you and I'm sorry this happened between you and I. I'm gonna read some more. Same this way will allow you to access And let go of the situation more completely and peacefully.

It also removes any blame you still hold for the person and doesn't leave you with this false sense of superiority. Even if you don't feel like forgiving someone who hurt you or disappointed you try saying this sentence either to them directly or in your mind and see what happens. Forgiveness will set you free your mind free from negative energy. It allows you to move forward more peacefully and gracefully. resentment and disappointment torment your mind make you more negative and prevent you from living life positively. Similarly, unmet expectations can be a great source of unconscious depressive energy that we carry around with us.

Yeah, so first, we're talking about forgiveness. Now I'm talking about expectations and disappointments so unmet expectations lead to disappointment Now, sometimes when we have chronic unmet expectations or disappointments with our parents, especially with our parents, I find that this can often lead to a lot of anxiety and depression. So what I'd like you to do, similar to the forgiveness exercise is think about a lot of the unmet expectations or disappointments that you've experienced with people. Whether you expected them to do something for you, or if they've behaved in a certain way. Yeah. So if they behaved in a certain way That was unexpected, they heard you possibly Yeah.

And that's where the forgiveness excess comes. And also say to them, I didn't expect this. I'm going to read some more. Whether you expected them to do something for you or if they behaved in a certain way or if they took something from you, whatever it is, do mental check and see if you have any anger, resentment, disappointment, or sad feelings around any of these memories. Now really that Google have these expectations and disappointments, and say this forgiveness sentence to them, I'm sorry, this happened between you and I, I'm sorry this took place at that time. Okay, do this for each and every one of the memories.

And you might want to really spend five minutes with each memory. Because it's not a matter of just saying the sentence. It's really you see what I do in the mornings I really sit there. And I take time to just forgive and forgive. And forgive, continue forgiving, continue forgiving and feel all parts of you. forgiving, forgiving, forgiving.

And if you're a therapist, you can do this exercise with your clients. Give them the time and space in your session to really sit there in forgiveness, and notice all resistances that we come up with in the act of forgiveness. Yeah, what are we trying to protect? What are we scared of feeling? And what are we scared of showing? What are we scared of being vulnerable?
