The Junior Secondary Program aims to ensure a smooth transition from Primary to Secondary as well as prepare all students for their Senior Phase of Learning. All students in Years 7, 8, and 9 study five core subjects. In Years 7 and 8, students must study a Language course and will sample elective subjects. Junior Secondary is a phase of education in state secondary schools for Years 7, 8, and 9, which helps to ensure the bridge between primary and secondary school is safe, strong, and consistent for all students. Junior Secondary will focus on age-appropriate education, and support for students' well-being and transitions.
