According to the line above, or the graph line above, the number of portable media players sold in 2008 is what fraction of the numbers sold in 2011. So let's take a quick look up here. Number of portable media players sold worldwide each year from 2000 6000. Alright, cool. So when you look at the graph, they'll spend too much time just look at the axes real quick. So the year is on the x axis, that's just telling us which year we already know, we're interested in 2008, and in 2011, and the number sold in millions.

So it's just showing us to give us different points on how much was sold per year. So we're interested in the fraction of those sold in 2008 over 2011. So number sold in 2008. I like to write things out here, over the number of sold in 2011. So let's just find this and plug it in. So how much did you find is thousand eight.

So 2008 I just go straight up. And this is the point. So that means it's 100. Cool. So I'm going to put 100 here, divided by the amount of thousand 11. I just go up, up, up, up up, and that is line 160.

So 100 over 160. What is that? Who cares? Throw in your calculator, and you should get what? Five over eight. Or if you'd like, you can plug in five over eight or point six to five.

Either one, if gridded incorrectly will give you the right answer. Cool. Nice.
