On Saturday afternoon, Armin sent me text messages each hour for five hours. And Tyrone sent key text messages each hour for four hours. Which of the following represents the total number of messages sent by Armand, and Tyrone on Saturday afternoon? Okay. So they want us to find the total number of messages sent by both Armand and Tyrone. How are we going to find that out?

Well, the total number of messages is just using the rate of text they sent per hour times the total hours they've been sending those texts in. So let's take a look at Armand. Armand, we're told set m texts each hour so that it was per hour. and for how long did he do that? He did it for five hours. He was I don't know what he was doing for five hours.

And then you just multiply that by five. Why? Because five hours on the top times one hour on the bottom, the hours cancel and we get text. So that will be five So, this is for Armand and same thing for Tyrone Tyrone. He sent p text per hour for four hours. So then Tyrone's rate or a number of messages is for p, which is, you guessed it.
