First of all you need to understand the audience. public speaking is audience is an audience centered activity. your reason for preparing the speech is to communicate your message to the others in the clearest and most convincing way. When preparing your speech, you must define your audience and effective speaker analyzes and adapts to the audience.

This involves finding out as much as possible about your audience in advance. Before you start reaching about researching about your topic, gather research on your audience setting an occasion. First of all, understand your audience understand what the audience know about you. What are the audience views on my topic? How does the setting and occasion influence my audience? The setting and occasion.

Setting an occasion are important considerations for any speaker. The speech may take place in an indoor gymnasium or at outdoor stadium. Outdoor speeches may require to change your delivery style little bit louder as environmental noise may affect the clarity. Remember, it's hard to reach a captive audience those who are required to attend the event than those who wish to attend the event. Define the purpose and thesis statement is your purpose to inform to persuade or to entertain the specific purpose like what is your specific purpose. For example, your speech is to persuade the citizens in practicing community service.

Now the thesis statement This statement is the central message you want your listeners to take with them. Research The most important thing and the most time consuming thing of all is research. Each point delivered to the audience must be backed by proper research facts statistics. Before researching on internet see if you have any information available, which is local. Local information plays a more important factor in convincing the audience.

Support your ideas. As I said earlier, each point delivered to the idea must be backed by research. Use facts facts are verifiable.
