Hi, my name is Samantha, I'm going to be your instructor for this class writing for social media, writing to your reader. A little bit about me. I'm currently an instructional coach for an elementary school district. I'm also a freelance writer and a children's book author. I have a few books out now one of which recently won an award. So I'm pretty excited about that.

In this class, we're just basically going to focus on how to kind of target your social media posts to your audience, your specific audience, you're going to look for your voice, finding your voice is really important so that you can have a consistent message each time you post on social media. We will be looking a little bit about the differences between Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and how to kind of get the most bang for your buck when you're posting on those platforms. But mostly, we're going to focus on how to use your words to target your reader and your audience so that they are more likely to engage with your post That's the goal, of course, when we're writing on social media is to bring attention to our cause or to our business. So we want to make sure that the posts are engaging, and that your reader is actually communicating back and forth with you via the platform.

So that's basically it. I hope you enjoy the class. I'm going to try to keep each section pretty concise so that it's clear and easy to implement into what you're already doing to promote your business or costs. And I hope you enjoy it. Thanks.
