Welcome back in Lesson One, we got to know our audience, and we got ready to think about our audience every time we post. And this lesson lesson two, we're going to find our voice. So who are you? What is your voice? Are you bold, serious, funny, quirky, sarcastic or straightforward. Finding Your voice is important when you're thinking about posting to social media because your message needs to match your brand and your message needs to be consistent with your voice every time you post.
So I want you to think about the last time you posted to social media. Take a look at what you wrote and try reading it back to yourself using the different tones offered in the section. Read it back in a funny way. Read it back sarcastically read it back boldly, which one feels the most natural to you? You need to find what you're comfortable with. And as long as it matches your brand, stick with it.
Well, you want to remain consistent It is okay. To mix it up once in a while, there may be times when you just need to share information in a straightforward way. Or there may be something that lends itself to being a little bit more funny or a little bit more sarcastic than other messages. The key is that your audience really needs to get to know you, and to feel like you're speaking directly to them. They should recognize you in your posts. So again, you really want to stay consistent.
For the most part, your audience should feel like they know you and you're speaking directly to them. They'll know you better and recognize you if you're consistent in your voice. And occasionally you may need to mix it up and that's okay. Most importantly though, your voice should feel natural and should support your brand or message. Stay tuned for lesson three. The formula
