In this course, we first explain and show examples of how skillful color mixing is the key ingredient to most great paintings - no matter what the style.
We then explain and show visually what happens during the paint or light color mixing process. Knowing this gives you complete control over the colors you wish to make. This eliminates months or years of guessing, practice, or memorizing color chart formulas - the typical approach in art school.
Students will also discover the numerous other ways this same information helps you as a painter. This includes: what, or how many paint hues to actually buy and use for each specific painting, how to set up great, affordable lighting for your paint area, what's right, and actually wrong with the standard color wheel system, what lighting to use for photography, etc.
Last, we apply everything we learned to a new painting composition, starting from scratch, using a simple photo you may find around the house.
