Hey guys, I'm a firm believer that the best way to learn something is to actually go out there and do it. So today we are going to go out to the field to produce some content. Today we will be going out to visit a friend of mine from a surf school that he runs to get some coverage to producing a short promotional video. So here I am showing up really cool to the location with my tripod and my gear. And as I got to the location I saw this place where I can think I think I could use the a slider. So I really quickly put on a slider which you'll see in a minute is the slider.
Here's my gorgeous a seven as you see really sucks in the audience into the environment and the atmosphere of the thing. This is a really cool wheel from the slider. This is an aesthetic shot using a backlight started to pick kept some pickups pick up shots. While I was there, we talked about aesthetics later. Just a nice long shot of the guys going to the beach at the surf club, again when it's always good to have a logo because the clients really like to see their logo. Alright, so now I wanted to have some fixed shots so I open a tripod and the very important thing to do is to level your bubble so your shot will be leveled.
It's a very important thing to do. checking on my movements are working pan tilt, look in the pan and I can have a nice shot shot by my friend. Also again going out getting some more pickups intercuts using the wooden bar here as a stabilizer tripod. Without a tripod, right the sun was getting really low and I wanted to make an interview so I replaced my lens for a 50 millimeter 1.4 to have a nice blurry background and a very fast aperture. Just mostly because the fact that I'm really close to sundown I put on an ND fader here just so I can find the right aperture the right exposure. Here I'm installing the Sennheiser microphone which later I discovered was a big mistake because the waves was just behind me and the sound was not really good but it did an okay job for this demonstration video.
Getting the tripod and the lens to be the height of my object eyes, called eye level. You see my wife over there trying to reflect bounced light on To him, I don't know if she did anything but just for demonstration he may be a little bit bouncing here. This is an important concept. I'm trying to sit next to the camera and he's talking to me not directly to the camera to get them more, I think more authentic look, while having this sort of interview. This is a time to see how in a really quick two hours afternoon and maybe one or two hours editing session I made a really cool simple corporate little video. I've been living my life and now I work USA beach Beach Club and stuff.
Surfer instructor started surfing when I was 10 years old. 7157 we'll see you there, buddy. The thing I love the most about working here. The fact that you can see all day kids start surfing gets better and you can really see it. As a development remind you how I developed as a kid surfing here gets me motivated to get the better. We're looking forward to the end of the summer.
We'll finish working here as it travels. Looking forward to see everyone
