Okay, so I would like to teach you guys a cheat cheat of how to create a really fast and coherent video cut using Adobe Premiere Pro CC, or any other editing software. This is just a sort of a method that will help you to edit your footage faster. It is specifically related and work with short clips and small cooperate videos. If you're trying to make a sophisticated scene with dialogue, and we've drama, and multiple multiply locations and all sorts of geographical space, it will be much more difficult So, a if you're trying to make a short clip, it will definitely can work for you and be appropriate. Alright, so after we imported all of our stuff here, and everything is on the project pane, I'll just take all the visuals from the footage beam and I'll place them inside the timeline, instead of putting them in in viewing them on the source monitor.

I'll keep the existing sequence settings because I didn't want the sequence to change into a higher frame rate. This is irrelevant for now. Now, what I'm doing now, he's actually I'm selecting all the good usable footage, we discussed how to use the Adobe interface before. So I'm viewing everything in the viewing monitor on the right and on the on the upper right side of the screen. So I'm choosing with a the letter C on the keyboard. I'm changing my cursor into a splicer tool, which we talked a little bit when discussed about the tools in the in the previous lectures.

Now every little bit of in good in usable footage with which I think will be appropriate and which I think will suit my needs. In my video, I'm splicing and actually dividing it from the rest of the junk footage or the less usable footage in For example, I see a nice close up of a young kid practicing before he's going to surf. The shot is stable and it is fairly exposed. So I'm picking it up splicing it and putting it up to the next level by bringing the crosser with the letter V back to the crosser instead of a splicer and dragging only the visual beat, which is the upper part in the timeline to the next level. So you can see here I'm having to level the level which is the bottom level, which is the not usable stuff, and the level which is the above level which I just splice and dragged above on the bottom We have a defining line in the middle which define between visual and audio.

Now in this specific stage, we will not need an audio at all. So I'm ignoring it for now. But as I'm splicing my footage in the same spot, I'm splicing my footage I'm also splicing my audio as you can see here. Okay, so I pretty much spliced everything and detected all the good materials and sort of took all the good stuff I had. Everything was dry. above.

Okay, after I finish separating all the good and usable beats from the rest of the footage, and I have the good stuff in the above level, as you can see in the v two, level v two video two level or layer and in v one layer or level, I'm having all the rest of the of the footage which is less usable and less good. I am going to do this trick and this trick will be very, very helpful and will improve your editing skills by 50% in the time of the process, so you can edit it really fast. So, I'm going now to the sequence and I'm pressing on the right click a button As I said before, I'm preparing a sequences. A sequence has been which I'm going to put all my sequences in it, I talked about it in one of the previous lectures.

And I'm clicking with the right click on the mouse on the sequence, and then choosing the option duplicate. Now the sequence will duplicate itself. Now I'm editing the text or the title, and I'm calling it second cut surf school promo. Now if I double click on the self school promo second cut, I'll have the exact same sequence from before. Now I'm going to show you the trick. What I'm doing is I'm activating a look on the two layer.

It will look at domestically everything That is on that layer and everything I'm going to do to this sequence, this layer won't be affected. So I'm choosing everything and deleting it. Very easy. Now look, I stayed only with the little bits of good information I have. So now I'm going to delete all of the spaces between them by pressing the delete button on the keyboard. This is action is called repel delete.

I'm deleting all of the space between them. And before I had something like maybe one hour of footage, and by the end of this action after I duplicate and got read from the from the rest of the footage, I have only Two minutes, around two minutes of better or the best footage from the whole day. In the next lecture, I'll show you a little bit more how to edit and get more sensitive in side the software and how you can put sound and how to mix the interview the sound and the footage we just selected.
