Basic video aesthetics. One of the key to producing great video work is to please our viewers I. And the way to achieve that is to emphasize the value of aesthetic in our work. Story is the most important element in content creation, but aesthetically pleasing work can certainly sweeten your project. Don't get me wrong, I'm not suggesting that fancy effects can compensate for pool storyline. But I do think that the combination of both is the winning ticket for a successful work.
In my career. I've had many clients that didn't have a clue about how to create a proper video or tell a good story. Many of them would just say, just show up with your camera gear and we work something out. Yeah, so that never really works. A flat story can only hold the viewers attention for so long. On the aesthetic front.
When the image is well lit, sharp and interesting. It can supply a momentary relief from a non coherent story in many cases, says a video of this kind can actually turn out to be pretty good and even result in a satisfying customer. But of course, the ideal is to produce a profound work with a great story. In the world of media, and video, that's not always the case, you will come across a project for a client with a rather flat business in two dimensional storyline, the best way to handle it and still have fun is to creatively produce the best world possible and get the best and most interesting coverage possible. There is no single way to create a good or interesting shot, but there are a few basic concepts to keep in mind. In the next few lecture, I will go into more detail on each of the components involved in getting that great shot.
