Okay, a really cool kind of SEO trick to utilize is once you get a lot of different videos on a big subject, I'm going to say, you know, my SEO course. And that's what we'll call the playlist. And what you're going to ultimately have is a number of different videos that obviously combined together and talk about different ideas inside of SEO and the SEO industry. So you may have, you know, how to research and now that's a part of SEO, how to research s e o terms. Then another one may be you know, SEO link building And then another one may be, you know, Video SEO. And now what I'm doing with all of this is I've created a playlist that has a lot of different terms inside of here, you know, research SEO terms is probably what I was going after SEO link building here was probably was going after value SEO was going I was going after.

But guess what, because they have this main thing in common, I'm going to rank a lot better for this term. So if someone types in SEO, I'm going to be much more likely to come to the top for that with a playlist than I would for just an individual video because it's giving me a large selection of different ideas on the topic of SEO or SEO courses or SEO training, whichever I mean name this thing right here. You know, I could name this course I could name this training, you know, just whatever most people may type in for this type of short term keyword, which again, we just go into YouTube type in SEO, and then probably one of the first top matching key phrases that matches what we're building as a playlist. That's what we want to use. And then we're going to naturally because we're using all of these different other videos inside our playlist that's going to show up inside of the YouTube search engine.

So playlists are a big benefactor for you, because you're not focusing all of your effort on just one video. In fact, you get to come off and basically go, Hey, you know, I want to come over. And I want to make, you know, a dozen different videos over here. And they can just go on and on and on. And now each one of those videos is adding more credence, or more I'm sorry, more credibility, more rankings, more keywords, and a total view count, which I call a TCV. And that total view count ends up giving you the authority to rank this playlist over other videos that may be better ranked, and better put together.

But since it's a playlist and it's more complete, YouTube's obviously Of course looking to innovate. involve those types of searches inside of a more comprehensive course, or course of videos that all together put together, you know, one individual idea. And one thing that so far has happened with playlists I'm going to let you know is that if it comes down to three rankings, this is going to be one video. Oops, one video. And then once you hit number three, you're allowed to start ranking your playlists. And this is where usually a playlist will rank.

So the first two spots, they're usually going to give to, you know, videos and obviously, up here, you're going to have your ads that go above that, but we're ignoring that and we're saying organically inside of YouTube. Your first one is going to be video, your second one's probably going to be a single video, and then your third one, they start suggesting playlists. The reason for that is they want people That are mainly looking for that instant gratification. So that's all that the single videos are for. But then the people that they understand, you know, oh, if they skip past these two videos, they're going for fuller content. And that's the whole idea behind that.

So what you want to ultimately realize is that when you create a playlist, is it going to rank in the top? You know, one or two spots? Probably not. Most times, this is what I end up seeing. This is what most of our data suggests is that they basically start suggesting after two videos, and then you can make your playlist so not to deter you, but just to give you more of an understanding of how playlists work in the rankings for YouTube.
