Okay, so here I am on the Creator Academy or YouTube creator side of YouTube. And what I'm really just trying to dive inside here is monetizing your account. Now, there's a few things that you need to do before you monetize an account. And then of course, once you do those steps, there's a few ways that you can actually monetize your account. And I'm going to go over the main ones that YouTube discusses and one additional one outside of that. So as they say, audience before income, you got to actually have people viewing your channel, in order for it to be monetized.

Usually the minimum nowadays, and they're always going to be raising or changing it. But at the current moment, it's somewhere around 400 to 500 subscribers, they'll usually give you personal emails, if you've monetized a lot of your videos, but you don't have a lot of subscribers. And basically, again, they're just making sure that you actually are going to promote content and you already have a little bit of a user base before you start monetizing, because they often realize that when people start inside of YouTube, that they don't really want to serve ads to those types of people. The reason being is you're going to end up deterring some of your audience away in the beginning steps of you creating, you know, your channel on YouTube. So, it's a big, big step forward, when you don't have any brand. Any advertising.

It's just your branding, and people are there to watch you and slowly you and then later on, they kind of get introduced as you get larger to the ads, they're served on your video. So that's why they do that. Otherwise, it could stunt your growth. So they need you to have a little bit of an audience again, that's always gonna change. Once you do that, you can then set up your channel to earn money. All you got to do is you can come over to this side creators Academy, YouTube, and they'll basically tell you what to do, you're just going to apply to join the YouTube Partner Program.

Again, you got to have at least 4000 watch hours right now. It's 1000 subscribers in order to join the program. However, at the same time, you are still allowed to connect your YouTube channel to an adsense account in order to start earning money and get paid for your monetized videos. This is in order to join, again, the partner program, you can still connect your adsense account to the YouTube channel, I'm not going to actually show you these links of where to do this because these are always going to change so it's best to just go to YouTube, look this up, which is again, just earn money with YouTube in the Creator Academy. And this checklist will come up for you. I'm just simply going over so that way you can realize where this is at what you got to do step by step.

Now once you do that, you're just going to take a minute and just know the kinds of videos you can monetize. And the different ad formats that you can choose there is just what they call ad rolls, which is something pops up in the midst of your video while you're talking usually a little bit below. And then there is full page ads which are better Basically, they take up your video, they usually play before it sometimes in between it depending on how you have it monetized and how long your content is. And, you know, YouTube does all this types of analytics to determine which ads are best when it comes to serving in the middle of your content. Usually those will be ad rolls though, step four, then you're going to select monetize with ads for each individual that you want to obviously monetize. And you're going to have to go through and choose each one.

So that way you can tell them what you do when you don't. It used to be by default, that all of them would just be monetized. But I believe in recent times, they've gotten that down more to the fact of what do you want to choose because they don't want you to just assume immediately that everything you want is monetizable. So once you do that, again, you're going to then have ads served but there's a one other way are really three ways that you can actually make money and the first way is of course, AdSense. And then the YouTube Partner Program. The second way is YouTube bread.

And this is basically like imagine your and these are probably going to be dead in the future. But, you know, basically TV subscriptions, or cable subscriptions or satellite TV subscriptions, where you're just going through and subscribing to a certain platform so that way you can have exclusive content all to yourself. So if you create exclusive content just for you to brand, your YouTube Red subscribers, that's another way that you can actually monetize off of that. The third one is to be sponsored. And what does this mean to be sponsored? Well, you can have things usually at the beach Beginning of your video where you're gonna be like, Hey, you know, one place I like to talk about is Wendover productions.

This is a guy who just goes through Wikipedia pages, reads the Wikipedia pages and makes a video around that Wikipedia page, day by day. And then he just gets sponsored in the beginning, by gosh, I can't even remember, it's just some type of website builder. Not a great one. But nonetheless, he does get sponsored by it. And there's other people who have sponsors at the end, where it's like, hey, this video is brought to you by blah, blah, blah. And for the really heavily paid ones.

There's kind of like a subsection I would consider three B here, and that's doing literal reviews about a product and they pay you for that product. So it's a paid review. And that's how I do those. So paid reviews are kind of basically being sponsored. I like to be honest with my YouTube subscriber base. up front, if I would ever do those paid reviews is, Hey, you know, I was asked to check this out, you know, give it a review, or you know, I've been sponsored by so and so and I want to give my honest review.

And you know, the best way to be honest is even if you have been paid to obviously they're going to tell you this in not so many words, but do it in a positive light. You can say things in a positive light while still kind of adding a little jabs inside. If it's a poorly made product, obviously, you should probably tell people that and the sponsored you know, people who paid you for the sponsored review are probably not going to come back again. But trash is trash as I say, but something that's you know, in between it's mediocre then you can put it in a positive light but still you know give a few spurns to it but not like this sucks, you know, so be very common sense with it. In terms of your being sponsored. You want these people to come back, you want to get paid more, do it right.

So these are the main ways that you'll end up making money off of YouTube and monetizing your account. The number one way is everyone starts right here is AdSense, YouTube bread comes kind of when you want exclusive content, and sponsored ads come when you are big, and by big, I mean like 100 200,000 subscribers. So that can be quite a number. Sometimes in different markets. For example, if you're talking about health or perhaps financial, on YouTube, in this day and age, someone with 50,000 subscribers is still pretty big. So they may get sponsored by certain you know, big financial sectors or businesses, they're saying, hey, use our software, trade with us, etc.

So it's all depending on kind of where you're at. If you're looking to get sponsored by per se, you know, getting video game reviews, you're going to have to have somewhere around half a million people as subscribers. So that's all I got to say for that. These are the main ways to monetize Again, just keep in mind that when you do these things that you want to have an adsense account, that's obviously in good standing. You don't want to run fake traffic or fake views through these things. You want to obviously be as you know, close to the white line as you can be in terms of safety, you just want to make sure that everything is on the up and up for your channel, you don't want to get demonetised also, I will say that YouTube will all be improving this in the future.

Currently, AI is taking down YouTube videos, and D monetizing them simply off of tags, and poor AI manipulation of identification. But in the future, YouTube will become vibrant again, and I see obviously, whatever people are investing in today will pay off more in the future than it will for in this now time space. But again, like I said AI will improve. YouTube will definitely get a lot better at banning content that is truly against you know its terms and policies. than just kind of wayward Lee doing it because you had someone that placed the tag in your video that said, you know, death and it was nothing about death, it was just talking about how death, you know, maybe spread through the black plague inside of England or something, etc, etc. So, again, when it comes to monetization, be weary, read all the guides because there are certain videos you cannot monetize.

And you don't want to start getting strikes against your account or your videos because of simple little mistakes like that.
