Alright, I am going to show you just a quick overview of the square dashboard. Many of you have probably already seen this or are using this currently. So if that's you go ahead and skip over this video. But I'm going to just cover a few things. Sometimes it's hard to find some of these things. So I'm just going to show some of these tools that you can use.

Okay, so here is kind of your main dashboard showing you you know, different kinds of things here. I don't have very many stats in here because this is my dummy account. So I just wanted to show you, you know, you can see the frequency of your customers, your average sales, how much you know, customers are spending, everything, gift cards, feedback, all of that kind of stuff. Now, the main thing that I want you to do is if you're just setting up your account, definitely check out the setup guide up here at the top top right hand side of your dashboard. But what I want you to do is immediately go to the appointments tab over here on the left hand side. And what it's going to do is it's going to take you through a series of steps to get your booking page set up.

Okay, so first of all, they want you to set up your services. So go ahead and get those set up, create your different services, your pricing, everything. It's pretty self explanatory. Okay, once you have finished that, then you're going to create a test appointment. Those are going to show up in here you can see play around with your calendar. You know, see what that looks like for you here, do a test appointment.

Then it's going to take you through setting up your online booking site. Now in here you will be able to edit your business details first and Put your business name in here. If you call yourself something other than you know just your name, put that in here, you could definitely put a little bio in here. If you want to put the location, go ahead and put your address in here. I don't have this stuff in here because most people are checking me out on social media on Instagram. And, and they're fighting me that way.

But you can definitely put your contact information in here. Here is where you add your handles for Instagram, and Facebook. And then of course, your website eventually, if you don't already have one. If you have a logo, go ahead and put it in here. If you don't, I suggest putting a photo of yourself there. And you don't need to have a background photo.

This only shows up on a checkout screen on point of sale devices. So it's not going to show up on your booking page. It's just going to be On the checkout screen, have your payment options, set your business hours here. And you know, get your account set up with your bank information so that you can take those payments if you need to. And then that should be it for your business information. But what I want to show you is so now if you were to go and view your site, this is your booking page.

It's fairly simple. So if someone were to come here and they want to click, you know, book the appointment, then this is what they are going to see. They're going to choose their time. Okay, great. And it's going to take them through those steps. Okay.

We are going to eventually get to the point where we need to create a button for your website if you are using square and I will show you in show you that in an upcoming tutorial in The course. But I just am kind of doing a little overview here. So eventually, you may need to embed the booking option into your website. So you can see that you can put it in. In your website, you can see that you can put it as a sidebar on your website, and all these different things. If you go to Advanced objects, you can create your own widget to put on your website.

Let's see, then booking channels. These are so this is the book now button on Instagram, I'm going to show you how to integrate that directly from Instagram itself. You can do that you can just learn more here, if you'd like. Also, if somebody is looking for you on Google, or they stumble across you on Google, you can activate the booking button on Google which is a really great tool to have, then you are going to you can then invite current clients if you have an email list already, that kind of thing. So just kind of go through here, look at some of the things that they offer in this in the booking platform of square link your Google Calendar, I always say to sync that because it's just another great way to have have it on your phone. You can check it all the time from any device.

And then you can, you know, segment your online scheduling. Make sure that all appointments are scheduled on the half hour must be one day in advance cutoff time for allowing clients to cancel or reschedule and then have a cancellation policy is six hours and so on and so forth. You can have a favorite filter to show that you are slightly busy, moderately busy or extremely busy. This allows for creating some of that scarcity on your schedule. So if someone comes to your booking page and sees that, wow, you're really available all the time, then they're gonna wonder, you know, is something wrong? Why aren't people booking I want someone who's in high demand.

Okay, so that is just kind of an overview of some of those things under communications. Under communications, here is where you can set your text message reminders, your email reminders, and then you can customize those emails, and that kind of thing. So that is kind of the general overview that I wanted to share with you as far as setting up your appointments. Again, like I mentioned, later on, I'm going to show you how to integrate that with Instagram, and how to utilize this a little bit deeper. Okay? So go ahead and decide if you're going to use square Or if you are going to use step more and start taking action and I'll see you in the next video.
