Okay, welcome to day four. Today we're going to talk about planning, monetizing your content focus, creating that hyper focused quality content. Okay. Now, when we talk about monetizing your content and your strategy, the point of having an online portfolio, a scrollable, online magazine on your using Instagram. The point is to gain clientele to gain revenue to build your business and make more money. So if you're using it as a business tool, you have to let your mindset get beyond the fact that what you're doing is you are selling your services on social media, and that it doesn't have to be sleazy in order to do it.

So quality content alone is going to make people want What you have, okay? So you don't have to be like, hey, look at me come by my service come in and see me, Hey, I have a last minute opening, hey, you know, posting, like all the time saying that you have all of these, you know, these openings and and that you have this, this special and that special, right? I mean if you're doing a giveaway or something like that you're going to be posting and promoting a little bit more and pushing a little bit harder. But when it comes to like a day to day, week to week basis, you're not going to be super salesy, right, you are going to be, um, I'm providing value through your content, providing beautiful quality photos that people love to come and see. And then it makes them want to reach out to you and become your client.

Okay? So it's all based on visualization and imagery when it comes to Instagram marketing. So The other thing is, is, I want you to know that you can sell even more on Instagram than just your services behind the chair alone, right. So if you've never thought about this, this is something to think about. It may not be something that you, you know, have to think about right away, because I want you to lay the foundation for selling your services first. But the thing is, is that if, if you have services, you can sell gift cards, you can sell rewards programs, you can sell memberships, you could, you know, promote your new client special, and those kinds of things.

And those are other things that you could be selling on the front end and get paid for ahead of time, and then those people will come in and see you. So if you're not promoting these other types of revenue streams, then you're really really missing out. And you could also look into becoming an affiliate for some of the beauty products that are That you absolutely love using. So you'll have to look into a few different things but if you can find one where you can become an affiliate, then you can post like I mentioned in actually what I'm going to mention here pretty soon I'll show you there's you know, if you're an umbrella brand where you've got you know, I do this type of service and I use only these products and I, you know, offer this other tool, then you can promote those things on your page and it becomes a cohesive theme of things that are under one umbrella.

So if there's a specific beauty products that you use, makeup, hair, whatever that is, if you can become an affiliate then that could become another revenue stream for you on your page. You could even sell other goods you know if you're a creative and and you want to sell other goods like coffee mugs or T shirts or tote bags or something like that, you could use a site like printful, that takes care of all of it for you, you don't even have to have your own website for this, all you need is the idea. And you just create the design online. And then if somebody buys through your link, then printful prints it for you and sends it to the customer. You're not even in control of any of the overhead, it's insane. And you get a commission.

So this could be really cool. You know, if you're, if you're, you know, you could make beanie hats, you know, for you know, like, make it so that it's like hair related or makeup related or whatever it is beauty related, and make something super, super cute and it could totally brand yourself as something different. Like all you need is an idea, right? So these are just some ideas I'm throwing out at you that you can create other revenue streams with your Instagram while you're promoting your services behind the chair. And like I mentioned before lifestyle Photos are what sells, it makes your viewer think, Oh my gosh, I need that. Or I want that in my life or I have to have this hair or I have to have her do my makeup.

She's the best out there. I want her to be my girl. Right? Um, Remember when I said to provide value over deliver on what you have to offer? So like, like I mentioned, do gift cards, do you know, beauty products that your affiliates for do other goods like do other things provide other things? Okay, so those are just a few ideas on ways that you can actually leverage your Instagram strategy beyond what you do behind the chair.

So if you don't know what a UGC is a UGC is user you excuse me user generated content. Okay? This is the time saving way to generate content if you feel like oh my gosh, I forget to take photos. I'm too busy. And then you have to edit them and then you have to create captions. And then you have to, you know, remember to post and all these things.

Well, the great thing about user generated content is that your clients tag your brand. They hashtag and they take you. And all you have to do is repost the photo. And that's what fills up your feed. It's brilliant, your clients are doing the work for you. You just have to, you know, if you want to come up with a new, excuse me a new caption for it, you can otherwise just use the caption that the client used from tagging you in and use that as a testimonial.

And then of course, repurpose that testimonial because that's huge, right? People love seeing the perspective of a client because they can see the real results that you provide for people and that's really what gets people to want to become your client. So you can sprinkle in UGC to your page, or you could have an entire, that's all you can do is UGC content, or, or Yeah, like I said, just kind of sprinkle it in every once in a while you can run contests, you can have something posted at your station, you can have an ongoing offer that like you know, for for any client that comes in, if you post a selfie after the end of your appointment, and you hashtag my brand hashtag at your next appointment, you'll get $10 off. So this person could potentially get $10 off every single appointment, if they do if they follow the rules.

And this could also mean that if this person comes in every six weeks, not only are they saving $10 every six weeks, but they're also providing you with new content every six weeks, right? So it's it's such a great way to showcase from your clients perspective and create content that you don't have To create but there's a couple rules, you know, when you're using user generated content, always give proper credit. It's super full pot to use someone else's content without giving full credit. So be sure to take them not only in the caption, but also in the photo. This just covers all bases and makes you know, makes it just it makes it so much more genuine and that you are you know, respecting their content and that you are using it and showcasing them highlighting them as a client. Then, we want to reiterate focus and qualities.

We already talked about hyper focus topics, but I really want to reiterate that topic, focus and quality content is it directly correlates with the type of people that you want to attract. So like I said, if you're showcasing your business personality in a certain way, that's who you're going to attract. If you're showcasing shitty content, that's who you're going to attract. If you're showcasing beautiful quality photos, you're gonna probably bring in clients who are, you know, willing to pay top dollar, you're more you become more of a luxury brand. So they understand that your prices are probably going to be a little bit higher. So you, whatever you're putting out there, you're going to get in return quality content equals a quality customer.

So here's what I was going to get out here. So you know, at the top right, or excuse me, at the top left, this profile is strictly women who golf. This is a hyper focused page that is specifically for that. Okay, then we've got your cats of Instagram, okay. People know like when they come to your And they see Oh, cats of Instagram. I know if I follow this page, I'm going to see a bunch of cute little cats every single day.

Okay, I know if I'm going to go to this page, I'm going to see a bunch of beautiful women golfing. Awesome. If I go to this page, I maybe am a bride who's planning my wedding and I want to see inspiration for up dues. Okay, so I could follow this page as a client or I could follow this page as a hairstylist to get more inspiration for you know, if I'm an update artist, then I'm going to get inspired by another update artist. This one down on the left is they just do you know fades and they carry this redkin through product. So they feature the product and they show doing both men's and women's fades and that's specifically what they do.

So it's kind of an umbrella brand like we've talked about. So they showcase the product and they showcase the service. And then over here we have a coffee shop. We have this By house coffee shop, and it's kind of has this like, urban sort of dark kind of feel to it. And it, it's got, you know, it kind of like has this like rustic urban feel. And I'm telling you, if you go into those coffee shops, that's exactly the type of person that comes in there.

So it's amazing what you can attract through imagery. So make sure that you are getting focused on your topic, and you're providing quality content, if you want that type of client to come in and see you. So, today for day four, your homework is going to be think about what you're selling. Okay? list three other things that you could potentially sell other than your services behind the chair. Now, of course a gift card is for your services behind the chair, or a membership or something like that is for your services behind the chairs.

So I understand that but I want you to think about three other ways that you can sell something or have it be a channel to your services. Think about user generated content, is this something that you even want to consider? Or do you want to have more control over the photos that you take? Now if somebody takes you with this, it doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to go directly onto your page, it is going to go to your hashtag page, but if somebody were to tag you, it goes kind of into your inbox into your Instagram inbox, and you can approve it and or you can repost it. So if someone didn't take the greatest photo, and you're like, No, I don't want to put that on my personal Instagram business page. Then I'll just leave it on my hashtag page.

And and I won't repost that. So you can always have some guidelines for those clients. If you um, you know, say, hey, if you want to be featured on my page, make sure that it's good lighting, make sure that you have You know, or doing X, Y, and Z, whatever, whatever. So come up with, you know, a few little guidelines for them. So that they know that if they want to get that $10 off their next appointment and be featured on your page, then they need to do X, Y and Z. And then decide the focus of your account.

So again, what specific services, lifestyle photos products are you going to highlight on your account? So I really want this to be the main focus is figuring out what your focus is. Okay? Think about your voice, like what emotions you're one want to evoke. Think about that focus and what it is that you want to attract. If you want more Bali clients, but you also offer 10 other services, don't post those other services.

Only post your Balaji services and it will attract them. Follow your clients. Okay? So be really, really strategic about what that looks like. And the kind of client that you want to attract more of based on the content that you're posting. So that's it for day four.

I'll see you on day five.
