Once you’ve earned people’s trust and interest, your eyes are critical do direct all of the people's attention. Establish and maintain strong eye contact. Period. The most important thing to remember is your audience will look where you look. That’s it. Sounds simple right? Well, it is. 
I see a lot of magicians falling over this hurdle. I’m not just talking about magicians who are just starting out either. There are some experienced, professional magicians who have been in the industry for years and still get this wrong.
The problem with a lot of performers is that when they see or learn or buy something new, they don't spend enough time practicing and rehearsing to the point where they know the routine.
