We will now do a practical observation of how cube D is applied in a service industry. Everyone goes to McDonald's. I'm a foodie. So I love eating burgers. customer requirements keep changing. So to adapt to this change, the team of McDonald's is redesigning the process of making burgers.

And they have used QFD as a tool to convert customer feedback in process matrix. Let's get going. Step one, updating the customer requirements. This is the first step where we start with capturing the voice of customer and shorting it down in the matrix. So the customer says that the burger should be filling. It should taste good.

It should be On Petey, it should be served fast. And it should cost less based on the rankings shared by the customers on each of these parameters in our update the importance rating section. In this example, we have considered a typical rating scale of one to five, where one is the lowest and five is the highest. So according to our customers, filling is the most important factor. So it has the highest rating of five. So fast and cost less are rated as poor and taste good and non fatty are each rated as three
