Vitamins and Minerals have no Calories and are classes as “Micro-nutrients”.
Information on vitamins and minerals:

Required in small amounts for growth, health and physical well being
Have roles in functions of immune system, hormonal system and nervous system
A well-balanced diet should provide sufficient vitamins and minerals
If you are not getting enough to meet your needs you may choose to supplement to top up to your daily RDAs (see below)
You may also wish to supplement if you are participating in regular vigorous exercise as this will increase your vitamin and mineral needs.
There is no need to pop 100’s of pills daily.
A good multivitamin in conjunction with your daily foods should have the required RDAs.
