 When working with Marine Chemists


What should be done?


The label, product data sheet, and MSDS sheet (MSDS) MUST be read before using any chemical.

The cap MUST always be firmly placed on the bottle, can, or bucket when using, moving, or storing marine chemicals.


MUST  always point the hose away from you at a shallow angle to the washing equipment or the deck which was cleaned with chemicals.
Safety glasses and additional safety equipment in accordance with the MSDS sheet (MSDS) MUST always be worn.
Hands MUST always be washed after using any chemical.
You MUST  rinse the mops, brushes, and buckets used during chemical cleaning.
A sign identifying all chemicals in the storage cabinet MUST be affixed.
A no-smoking sign MUST be affixed to the chemical storage cabinet door.
A set of MSDS sheets (MSDS) MUST be kept next to the chemical cabinet.
YOU MUST  know where the MSDS Sheet Master Set (MSDS) is stored.
 All hazardous chemical spills MUST be reported
