Werden has three meanings:Viele Spatzen werden nicht alt.
We use werden to talk about a change. It’s about the same as the English to become / to get:Ich werde alt. = I’m getting old.Ich will Arzt werden. = I want to become a doctor.
We can also use werden to express that something is going to happen in the future – just the same as the English will.Er wird immer wieder auf den Balkon kommen.= Er kommt immer wieder auf den Balkon.
