DESCRIPTION: They both are translated with at least, but the meaning is different. When you say mindestens you want to specify a certain number that is the absolute minimum of something. Basically, you could translate mindestens with or more:Er ist mindestens 50 Jahre alt.He is 50 years old (or more).
Wenigstens has the connotation that you are not really happy with the result, but at least for example:Das ist wenigstens gesünder als Schokolade.Jochen‘s food is not healthy, but at least the salad is a bit healthier than chocolate.
Remember: with mindestens you can add oder mehr (or more). You cannot do that with wenigstens.
