About the Bundle
This bundle consists of 5 classes. All are designed to help newer and developing college and university faculty to succeed in two critical areas:
- Academic Writing - These four lessons prepare someone for effective scholarly writing addressing:
- The role of writing, getting to know journals and different kinds of scholarship;
- Writing the topic sentence - a critical skill for good expository writing;
- Organizing and writing the literature review which nearly all articles require;
- Putting it together with an outline and writing the article.
- How to be a Professor - Most newer faculty have little or no preparation for college/university teaching. This course addresses common concerns, how to plan a syllabus, how to choose assignments that are right for your content, dealing with course evaluations, and even dealing with difficult students. This course will help newer professors feel more comfortable, confident, and effective in their teaching.
